Preparing your manuscript
Once you have signed a publishing contract with us you will need to prepare and provide your manuscript.
Your editor will guide you through the manuscript preparation guidelines and you can view the manuscript preparation guidelines here.
Remember to read all of the guidelines as your book may be published in a variety of formats including print and ebook format.
The guide will help you to reach the widest possible audience by ensuring your work is presented for both print and electronic formats.

We have compiled a set of documents to help you bring structure into your manuscript. At this stage it is a good idea to read our guidelines for drafting manuscripts. Both word and LaTeX templates for creating manuscripts can be requested from your contact.

As the author, you are best equipped to create a high-quality index. We can advise you, and you can also make use of the information in our technical specifications and guidelines .
If you use sections of text or images from third parties in your manuscript, you are responsible for obtaining the appropriate rights to use or edit these. You are welcome to use this template to do so. If you have any questions about legal matters, please contact your editor.
Like many other high-profile academic publishers, De Gruyter is a member of the STM Association which provides a guide to permissions from different publishers.
You can submit your finished manuscript by sending this via a large document transfer tool such as WeTransfer or send your manuscript directly to your editor via email.
